Goddess

As a Sorceress I worship the Goddess, who is Queen of Heaven. She is the embodiment of all life, the earth itself, Gaia, Isis, she has a thousand names, spoken in a thousand tongues, through a thousand years and more and all of them are calling her, the Goddess. She is the foremost Goddess, all others are aspects of her and her partner the Horned God parallels her. The Goddess is often symbolised by the moon.

The triple moon, the circle with a crescent on either side, is a symbol of the Triple Goddess. This three-fold nature represents our passage in life, the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone, just as the moon waxes, is full and complete and wanes, so in these three aspects, our lives as woman are echoed.

The Maiden is viewed as representing birth, new beginnings, independence, questing, being self-centred and filled with ebullient enthusiasm. The Mother gives birth and is therefore creating, cherishing and compassionate. She is sexuality, fulfilment, and the raw power of life itself. The Crone represents death, wisdom and the end of things. In this dance of life, the Maiden follows the Crone quickly and so death is conquered by renewal and rebirth as the moon is reborn, life regenerates and our yearly seasons follow. All three aspects of the Triple Goddess symbolise female power, female erotic energy and innate female wisdom.
