Folk voices from the past tell us of the legendary mermaid, who, they say, can be malevolent or magically benevolent, granting wishes. Whether we believe in mermaids or not, it is certain that fisherman always have and been suitably respectful and cautious. Mermaids are said to have extraordinary magical powers, perhaps they are elemental water spirits. If you would like to give it a go and call a mermaid, stand by the shore and sing; singing attracts them. Lay a piece of iron somewhere nearby incase you should need to snatch it and hold it as protection as iron wards off the supernatural. Should you see a mermaid, call out to them and ask for your love spell wish, and it may be granted, but leave a tribute to this being, so that a higher price is not exacted from you instead!
